On October 23, 2020, Bryley volunteers (and sisters) Carol and Cathy joined the Corridor 9/495 Chamber of Commerce for their Annual Community Service Day on behalf of the Community Harvest Project.
Cathy and Carol, along with 20 other community volunteers, picked over 5,000 lbs. of Red Delicious apples:
- 3,000 lbs. were sorted, bagged, and packed, while
- The other 2,000 lbs, which had imperfections, were sent for cider making.
All apples were donated to the Worcester County Food Bank (of which Cathy is a member of the Board of Directors); 10,000 servings were delivered to families in need.
A box-lunch was provided to the volunteers by the Red Heat Tavern.
